Cantina Collective is funkier than a mosquito’s tweeter, creating grooves that James Brown would be
proud of! Out of the four-part vocal harmonies the voice of Cantina Collective, Vanessa Fletcher, soars as the horns riff
their way through each song. The slick and energetic performances just keep on coming holding audiences on the dance floor
all night long!
The songs are drawn from artists who represent the cream of the past forty years of funk, disco and soul.
The artists covered range from bands such as The Average White Band, Tower of Power and KC & the Sunshine Band; to divas
including James Brown, Janis Joplin and Aretha Franklin. Each song has been carefully selected to avoid the obvious and present
classic alternatives by these towering giants. To bind the sets together a selection of contemporary songs by performers as
diverse as Jamiroquai and Corduroy; to Lady Gaga and No Doubt have been arranged with a Cantina twist!
